I raise this question! I'm a non resident Pakistani and I like it that way. Never lived in Pakistan nor would I ever want to with the current condition of Pakistan, well it was never in a condition in which I'd like to live as compared to the country I've lived all my life in. Lets look at it this way, what is there in Pakistan for me to be proud about, that country just gives me a passport and a permanent residence. Now that's nothing to be proud about is it? There is nothing in my country which I can boast about, except of course the increasing fashion and television industry, which in my opinion does not change Pakistan being in the ''third world'' countries. Majority or maybe all the Pakistani's I argue with hate me for being so negative but I can't help it. We have an ex-prisoner as our President who is the father of corruption. The youth in the rural areas of Pakistan is an aim of being transformed into a terrorist, and all the other population of almost 175 million can be killed anywhere at anytime by those terrorists. Pakistan was brought into being to bring out the individuality of Muslims, the father of our nation wanted us to be completely sundered from the Hindus as I guess they were reducing us to nothing. Well what are we now, we have a lot of people who are bringing Pakistan into the limelight in terms of sports and education but that does not change what is in Pakistan. There is a good standard of education, then again your admission into any university does not depend on your merit as far as you have the money. My relatives live in Pakistan, but then is that all that can make me happy about my country. I won't lie, though there is this gleam of victory on my face when Pakistan wins the cricket match, but that same victorious look changes into anger when the people who made us win the T20 world cup were sentenced to terms to be served in the prison. As of now, if Imran Khan comes into power, as he promises to bring ''Inqilaab''(revolution) I guess it will take him all his life to completely change the picture of Pakistan. I can hate Pakistan as much as I want but it shall still remain my identity, it is where I come from and no one can change that.
